The pipeline between Columbus, Ohio and Wayne, New Jersey just continues to get stronger by the day. Literally.

DePaul Catholic’s DeShawn Stewart, a Class of 2025 defensive back, used the holiday weekend to announce his commitment to Ohio State.

Stewart is now the second DePaul Catholic Spartan to commit to the Buckeyes in the last 24 hours – WR Dez Jones took to social media on Saturday when committing to Ohio State.

Stewart is a four-star rated prospect who stands at 6’2″ and 185 pounds. He logged three interceptions during his sophomore season and then showed off his physicality as a junior by securing 51 tackles.

The ballhawking junior joins an elite group of DePaul Catholic players pledged to Ohio State at one time or another – current Cleveland Brown Ronnie Hickman was a Buckeye from 2019 through 2022.
