For high school athletes all across New Jersey and beyond, the 2021 winter season was unlike any other. But that doesn’t preclude us from bestowing the our top hockey honor – JSZ’s Hockey Player of the Year.

Connor Sedlak Wins JSZ’s 2021 Hockey Player of the Year

During a season shrouded in uncertainty, Don Bosco Prep senior Connor Sedlak put together a career year on the ice. Sedlak helped the Ironmen collect double-digit wins and the Gordon Cup championship after a Gordon Conference-best 28 points (18 G, 10 A) for the Ironmen. Sedlak, who also eclipsed 100 career points this season, was selected as the Gordon Conference MVP by the conference’s coaches.

Sedlak is the third Don Bosco Prep player to win JSZ’s highest hockey award, following his older brother, Tyler Sedlak, in 2019, and Mickey Burns, in 2018. The Sedlak’s also now become the first siblings to both win a major Jersey Sports Zone end-of-year award.
