Mike Gesicki was one of Southern Regional’s all-time great athetes. The former Penn State standout and Cincinnati Bengals tight end talked with Jersey Sports Zone about his career in the NFL and the excitement of teaming up with Joe Burrow for the next three years!
Mike Gesicki is well known to NFL fans as a seven year veteran tight end who spent five years in Miami before a season with the New England Patriots and last year was the Cincinnati Bengals tight end. In the Shore Conference, Gesicki’s revered as one of the greatest all-around athletes to compete in Monmouth and Ocean County. The 2014 Southern Regional graduate was not only elite on the gridiron but dominated in basketball and volleyball for the Rams. Gesicki went on to Penn State and is set to begin his 8th season in the NFL after signing a three year contract with Cincinnati.
Gesicki hosted a summer camp in conjuction with Pro Athletes Direct and spent time during drills interacting with the kids who were part of the three hour session. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis talked with Gesicki about his strong bond with New Jersey and his outstanding pro football career:
