Johnny Jackson is many things – the ultimate competitor, a gym rat, one of New Jersey’s most dangerous point guards. He can also add cancer survivor to that long list of titles.
Jackson, a senior at Ridgewood, is in the midst of a battle with Stage 4B Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He underwent his 10th round of chemotherapy on Monday and returned to the court for the Maroons’ season-opener on Thursday.
The Ridgewood community has rallied around the “Battle 4 Buckets” as one of their own is defying odds at every single turn.
