Toms River North DB/WR Bryce Watts is on his way to Blacksburg and the Virginia Tech Hokies. The former Rutgers commit is now ACC bound
Shore Sports Zone All-Zone defensive back Bryce Watts has announced that he’ll be signing to play Division I FBS football in the ACC for the Virginia Tech Hokies. An original commitment to Rutgers, Watts re-opened his recruiting on January 15th following Aaron Henry’s departure from the Rutgers staff to North Carolina State. The Toms River North wide receiver had all eyes on him in a road test against Middletown South and Watts had 4 catches for 179 yards and three touchdowns. With 30 catches for 765 yards and 9 scores, Watts gets plenty of attention on the offensive side of the ball, but he’s equally outstanding as a defensive back where he can shut down big pass plays. Watts could very well be a defensive back for the Hokies. He had a total of 10 Division I offers and made the announcement of his Virginia Tech commitment via Twitter:
