Moving to a new school can take some getting used to, a new country however is a whole different ball game. Six foot nine Bohdan Biekietov has only been in America a few months but has made a quick impact at Montgomery, helping lead the Cougars to victory in their first seven games of the season. Biekietov hailing from the war torn country of Ukraine made the jump to the U.S. after spending some brief time playing basketball in Spain. The junior left his native homeland with some family minus his father Demitiri who was drafted to help protect Ukraine. Despite these hardships, the teenager keeps an upbeat attitude and is enjoying what he claims is the “best place for basketball in the world.”
