A top five national showdown in Blairstown did not disappoint.  We’ve got the highlights and post-match reaction from Blair Academy’s battle against Delbarton

Sophomore Weston Borges scored a key 12-10 decision at 144 pounds and Salah Tsarni clinched the dual with a pin at 215 pounds to give the Bucs a win against Delbarton one year after the Green Wave topped Blair for the first time ever.  Joseph Schinder’s 4-1 decision at 157 pounds put Blair Academy a 20-12 lead.  Jayden James pinned at 165 for Delbarton and CJ Betz’s 15-5 major at 190 got the Green Wave within 25-22 before Tsarni and heavyweight Cael Mielnik closed things out with pins.  The Bucs are ranked 5th in the latest FloWrestling national team poll while Delbarton is ranked 3rd after upsetting Faith Christian of Pennsylvania.
