Watch highlights of Lakewood’s 3-1 win over Rome on Saturday afternoon at First Energy Park

Drew Anderson struck out seven in six innings and the BlueClaws scored two in the first inning to gain a 3-1 win over the Rome Braves in front of 6,401 fans at First Energy Park.  Lakewood got two runs in the first on RBI singles by Andrew Pullin and Mitch Walding.  Anderson gave up just one run and scattered five hits, striking out seven and walking three.  He improves to 2-3 on the season and lowers his ERA to 4.10.

The BlueClaws added an insurance run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Willians Astudillo.  Cody Forsythe came on in the ninth and got into a bases loaded jam, but delivered a strikeout and induced a pop out to right to end the game and earn his sixth save.
