Top seeded Allentown is one step closer to the Group 3 Central state title after taking down Freehold Boro 3-0. Olivia Ricci got the party going with a score midway through the first half and Vanessa Rodriguez finished the job in the second with a pair of goals. The Red Birds will take on Colts Neck next and if the planets align on the other side of the bracket we could see them in a rematch with Steinert. Both teams handed each other their only losses of the season, including the Spartans shutout win against Allentown in the Mercer County Tournament championship game. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez was there for the action!
