Bergen Catholic 2 St. Joe’s (Mont.) 1 (2OT)| Boys | Non-Public “A” North Quarterfinals
No. 6 Bergen Catholic are headed to the Non-Public “A” North semifinals after defeating St. Joe’s (Mont.) 2-1 in double-overtime on Thursday. The Crusaders’ game-winning goal came in the first minute of the second OT as senior midfielder Luke Lee incredibly snuck a 36-yard shot just inside the crossbar to send The Jack into a frenzy. This goal completed the BC comeback which began with senior Kyle Braithwaite scoring the equalizer in the 74th minute. Gert Deitmer scored the lone goal for the Green Knights.
The Crusaders will now face No. 5 Seton Hall Prep in Monday’s sectional semis.

Notre Dame 5 St. Joe’s (Met.) 2 | Boys | Non-Public “A” South Quarterfinals
A year after falling on the road to St. Joe’s Metuchen (12-6-2) in the Non-Public “A” South Quarterfinal, Notre Dame (13-7-3) had a chance to turn the tables on the Falcons in a rematch. With home-field advantage this time around, the Irish delivered a strong performance to avenge last season’s playoff loss and earn a spot in the sectional semifinals. Cayden O’Rourke led the scoring with 2 goals as 4 different Irish found the back of the net. Notre Dame now turns its attention to a tough challenge ahead, as the Irish will face top-seeded and undefeated Pingry in the Non-Public “A” South Semifinal.

St. Augustine 7 St. John Vianney 1 | Boys | Non-Public “A” South Quarterfinals
The third-seeded Hermits raced out to a commanding 6-0 lead in the first half as they rolled to a quarterfinal victory over the sixth-seeded Lancers. Mike Coluzzi went for a hat trick and moved into fifth on the Hermits’ all-time scoring list. John Lamanteer finished with a brace, while Issac Betances Peraza and Johnny Godfrey scored goals for St. Augustine (20-3). Ethan Eddleston scored his 33rd goal of the season in the loss for St. John Vianney (12-10-1). St. Augustine advances to face CBA in the sectional semifinals on Monday.
