The Morris County Tournament final takes centerstage on a busy Tuesday in high school lacrosse as Chatham squares off with Delbarton. The Shore Conference Tournament gets underway as Middletown South takes on Howell in a first round matchup. Plus defending sectional champions go to battle in South Jersey as Shawnee travels to face Kingsway. Highlights will be posted throughout the night!


Chatham 12 Delbarton 7 | Boys | Morris County Tournament Final

After decades of being one of Morris County’s top programs, No. 8 Chatham boys lacrosse are Morris County champions for the first time in their history! The Cougars stunned three-time defending champions No. 2 Delbarton 12-7 in Tuesday’s county final after a red-hot final three quarters.

Down 4-2 midway through the 2nd quarter, the Cougars outscored the Green Wave a whopping 10-3 for the remainder of the action to snap Delbarton’s 27-game win streak over New Jersey public schools.

Michigan commit Shep Boyd had one of the best performances of his career, scoring five goals and adding two assists. He was followed up by Kyle Gibney with a hat trick and Charlie Dunn with two goals. Goalie Tucker McWilliams also had a great night in net, saving 11/18 shots.

Middletown South 18 Howell 4 | Boys | Shore Conference Tournament First Round

Freshmen Colton Black (4 goals, 3 assists) and Colton Clark (3 goals, 2 assists) led a dominant overall performance by the 10th seed.  The Eagles (9-6) move on to the second round of the SCT and will travel to Red Bank Regional looking for a spot in the quarterfinals.

Shawnee 10 Kingsway 5 | Boys

The sixth-ranked Renegades rolled in a battle between defending sectional champs, and avenged a loss to the Dragons a year ago to pick up their fourth-straight win. Rutgers commit Tyler Rotkowitz led the way with four goals and two assists, while securing his 300th career point in the victory. Duke commit Brett Lundberg added a pair of goals, while Tom McAneney had a six point day for Shawnee (10-3). Long Island commit Owen Dougherty finished with a hat trick in the loss for Kingsway (11-3).
