St. Augustine 7 Bishop Eustace 5 (8 innings)
Mason Kurelko blasted a two-run walk-off homer for the Hermits in the bottom of the eighth inning, as St. Augustine came from behind twice to knock off the rival Crusaders. Adam Williams forced extra innings with a two-out RBI single for the Hermits (5-0) in the bottom of the seventh inning. Franco Iannone drove in two runs for Eustace (3-1) in the loss.

DePaul Catholic 3 Union Catholic 0
Chris Marano came on in relief to get the Spartans out of a bases loaded nobody out jam in the top of the 7th to give DePaul a third straight win to open the season. Marano got a strikeout and induced a 4-6-3 double play to end the game. The Spartans got on the board in the 4th with a Jadyn D0wd bases loaded walk and Erick Pinales delivered the big hit of the game with a 2-run triple in the 5th.

Pennington 5 Princeton 2
Another Meccage is taking the mound for Pennington (4-1). The younger brother of Milwaukee Brewers 2025 second-round pick Bryce Meccage, Cayden is already putting up impressive numbers in his freshman season. Through two appearances, the switch-pitcher has not allowed an earned run over eight innings while recording 17 strikeouts. In this outing, Cayden tossed four scoreless innings, while the Red Hawks scored all five of their runs in the top of the fourth in the win over Princeton (2-2).
