St. Joe’s (Metuchen) 65 Red Bank Catholic 46 | Boys | Non-Public “A” South Quarterfinal

Andrew Kretowski had 18 points and 12 rebounds highlighted by a first quarter thunderous poster dunk to lead the Falcons (28-1) to a dominant victory and a matchup with top seed Paul VI in the Non-Public A South semifinals.  Aidan Carter added 19 points and nine rebounds in the victory.

Toms River South 42 Mainland 37 | Boys | South Jersey Group 3 Quarterfinal

Shane Gambarony scored six of his 12 points in the fourth to help the Indians fight off a late surge to reach their first sectional semifinal since 2015. Kharii Pringle went for 11 in the first half on his way to a team-high 17 points in the win for seventh-seeded Toms River South (16-12). Sean Burke scored eight of his team-high 12 points in the final frame for fifteenth-seeded Mainland (11-16). Toms River South advances to face third-seeded and defending sectional champion Ocean City on Wednesday.

Delsea 53 Cumberland 50 | Boys | South Jersey Group 3 Quarterfinal

The Crusaders led by as many as 18 points late in the third quarter, but after the Colts came back to tie it late in the 4th, a Dahmir Hart bucket gave Delsea the lead again and the victory. Colorado State football commit Luke Van Auken went for a game-high 19 points and 17 rebounds for the fourth-seeded Crusaders (16-11) in the win. Jelani Poles added 15 points for Delsea. Pat Crawford scored a team-high 16 points for fifth-seeded Cumberland (21-9) in the loss. Delsea will now face top-seeded Deptford in the sectional semifinals later this week.

Shore Regional 51 New Providence 46 | Boys | Central Jersey Group 1 Quarterfinal

The #4 seed trailed 12th seed New Providence by 13 at the half before a remarkable second half rally has the Blue Devils in the Central Jersey Group 1 semifinals and a matchup with top seed Thrive Charter.  Andrew Barham and Maddox Paulin each had 13 points.  Paulin hit a three to end the third quarter to close the deficit to 42-37.  In all, a 15-0 run put Shore up 47-42 in the fourth quarter.  Alex Zamora led all scorers with 19 for the Pioneers (8-19) who were outscored 14-3 in the final eight minutes.
