Marlboro 78 Sayreville 68 | Boys | Central Jersey Group 4 Quarterfinal
Nolan Gong had 16 of his 20 points in the first half and Dylan McEwan had 16 of his 21 in the second half to lead the Mustangs (21-5) into the section semifinals. Sayreville (17-11) got 27 points from Sam Jones and 26 points from Chidi Chukwurah. The Mustangs will face Montgomery on Tuesday in the Central Jersey Group 3 semis on Tuesday.

Jackson Township 63 East Brunswick 58 | Boys | Central Jersey Group 4 Quarterfinal
Jackson Township is headed to the Central Jersey Group 4 sectional semifinals after surviving a furious fourth-quarter rally to defeat East Brunswick 63-58. George Boley led the way with 25 points for the Jaguars, including a first-quarter dunk that helped set the tone early. Jimmy Pappalardo and Yaseer Johnson each added 13 points as Jackson built a 17-point lead before holding on down the stretch. East Brunswick nearly completed the comeback after trimming the deficit to one in the final minutes. Matt Mikulka scored 20 points for the Bears, while Andrew Caruso added 10 points, including back-to-back three-pointers that made it a two-point game late. Jackson advances to the sectional semifinals, where they’ll take on top-seeded Hillsborough.

Atlantic City 61 Howell 55 | Boys | South Jersey Group 4 Quarterfinal
The Vikings surged in front with a 10-0 run to open the fourth, but had to hold on tight to get past the Rebels to reach the sectional semifinals. Dontaye Thompson poured in 12 of his game-high 33 points in the final frame. Kenai Austin went for nine points, while Jalil Daniels added eight points for fourth-seeded Atlantic City (20-9). Noah Musto scored a team-high 15 points, while Cayden Parker and Jack Quinn chipped in with ten points for fifth-seeded Howell (20-7). Atlantic City advances to face top-seed Cherry Hill East next week.

Lower Cape May 57 Pleasantville 52 | Boys | South Jersey Group 2 Quarterfinal
The Capers trailed early, built a double-digit lead in the third quarter, and then held off the Greyhounds down the stretch. John Fernandez scored a team-high 20 points for third-seeded Lower (23-5). Jamil Hudson scored a game-high 21 points for 11th-seeded Pleasantville (15-12) in the loss. The Capers advance to face second-seeded Camden in the sectional semifinals next week.

Manasquan 54 Delaware Valley 34 | Boys | Central Jersey Group 2 Quarterfinal
Manasquan boys basketball’s hopes for their 7th straight sectional title are still alive as the 5-seed Warriors defeated 4-seed Delaware Valley 54-34 in Saturday’s Central Jersey Group 2 quarterfinals. The biggest key to the Warriors’ win was how they started. From the 1st into the 2nd quarter, Manasquan started the action on a 23-7 run. When all was done, Delaware Valley was held to their lowest score of the season.
Manasquan was led by forward Logan Cleveland and guard Sean Bilodeau who finished with 16 and 13 points, respectively. Tommy Denvir was the Terriers’ high scorer with 14.
Manasquan will now face either top-seed Wall or 8-seed Holmdel in Tuesday’s sectional semifinals.
