Red Bank Catholic 53 St. John Vianney 49 | Girls |  Shore Conference Tournament Final

For the third time this season, New Jersey’s top two girls’ basketball teams squared off, and it did not disappoint. The Caseys jumped out to a 22-6 lead after the first quarter, but the Lancers stormed back to tie the game at 40 entering the fourth. In the final minute, Rhode Island commit Katie Liggio delivered the go-ahead basket that sealed the victory. Red Bank Catholic (26-2) takes Round III against St. John Vianney (23-3) and repeats as Shore Conference champions.

CBA 58 Red Bank Catholic 37 | Boys |  Shore Conference Tournament Final

The Colts raced out to a 13-0 lead to open the game and maintained a double digit lead for the rest of the game to secure the school’s first SCT title since 2010.  Izayah Cooper led the way with 15 points and seven assists while Conor Andree had 14 points and six rebounds.  Head coach Brian Lynch returned to his alma mater and brought home a Shore title to CBA (23-3) adding to the previous two years he led Saint Rose to Shore Conference crowns.

Bergen Catholic 81 St. Mary (Ruth) 55 | Boys |  Bergen County Jamboree Final

Brandon McMillan led five Crusaders in double figures with 14 as BC won its second straight Bergen Jamboree title and 11th overall.  Saint Mary saw an 18-game win streak come to an end.

St. Joe’s (Met.) 91 Piscataway 61 | Boys |  GMC Tournament Final

No. 9 St. Joe’s (Met.) boys basketball let out seven years of frustration on Friday night, defeating Piscataway 91-61 in the GMC Tournament final to bring home their first title since 2019. The Falcons were ahead just 17-13 after the first quarter, but they outscored their opponents 74-48 the rest of the way. This completes their season sweep of the Chiefs after winning their previous two meetings during the regular season.

Star junior forward Andrew Kretkowski led the way for St. Joe’s (26-1) with a career night of 32 points and 10 rebounds. Fellow star, sophomore guard Aidan Carter, also had himself a night with 19 points and 12 assists. The Chiefs (20-7) were led by Landon Pernell with 22 points.
