We kick off the high school hockey cup finals at Jersey Sports Zone with Tuesday’s Kelly Cup final at Codey Arena! Can defending champs Scotch Plains-Fanwood run it back, or will Frisch pick up the biggest win in program history? Find out below!

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 6 Frisch 1| Kelly Cup Final

Defending Kelly Cup champs Scotch Plains-Fanwood had a red hot and hungry Frisch team on their plate in Tuesday’s final, but they were more than ready as the Raiders defeated the Cougars 6-1 for back-to-back titles!

Things were tied 1-1 after the 1st with goals from SP-F’s Nick Movsesian and Frisch’s Daniel Margolius. Then, the Raiders caught fire in the 2nd with four goals from Movsesian, Liam Bonifas, Charles Sachetti, and John Nocera. Movesian then netted his third goal for his hat trick late in the 3rd on a power play. SP-F goaltender Lorenzo Tittanegro had a night in net, saving 22/23 shots.

The Raiders will have one more game on Friday at Clifton before moving the Public state playoffs as the No. 6 seed in the South. They will host No. 11 Old Bridge on Monday.
