Conference tournament season rolls on as JSZ brings you four great matchups from around the Garden State. We find out who punched their ticket to the CAL Tournament title game as we bring you the semifinal double-header from Atlantic City. Overbrook looks to continue its title defense against Deptford in the Tri-County Conference Tournament quarterfinals. Plus in girls hoops, Shore Conference heavyweights collide as Manasquan takes on St. John Vianney in the SCT semifinals. Check back as the highlights are posted throughout the night!


Plainfield 87 Elizabeth 65 | B0ys | Union County Semifinal

Micah Gordon had 19 points and 11 assists with Rashawn Williams adding a double-double of his own with 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead a dominant performance by the Cardinals who return to the Union County Tournament final.  The Cardinals (20-4) drained 13 three-pointers and awaits the winner of Roselle Catholic and Linden in Sunday’s championship game.  Elizabeth (15-10) was led by Jayden Johnson’s 25 points.

Ocean City 46 St. Augustine 42 | Boys | Cape-Atlantic League Tournament Semifinal

The Red Raiders battled down the stretch to punch their ticket its first CAL championship since the tournament began in 2012, and the first time overall since 2010. Luke Tjoumakaris started fast and closed strong to finish with a team-high 14 points. Tighe Olek added 11 points, while Josh Lenko chipped in with nine points for second-seeded Ocean City (20-4). Bryce Clark scored a team-high 14 points and Zebron Bartley went for 12 points in the loss for third-seeded St. Augustine (15-12). Ocean City will face Atlantic City for the CAL championship on Saturday at Egg Harbor Township High School.

Atlantic City 78 Middle Twp. 72 | Boys | Cape-Atlantic League Tournament Semifinal

Dontaye Thompson poured in 50 points to propel the Vikings past the top-seeded Panthers. Thompson hit eight three-pointers in the contest for AC (17-9). Alex Daniel scored 27 points, while Mason Murawski added 19 points for Middle (14-10) in the loss. The fifth-seeded Vikings will take on Ocean City for the CAL Tournament title on Saturday:

Overbrook 66 Deptford 55 | Boys | Tri-County Conference Tournament Quarterfinal

Bilal Robinson dropped a career-best 35 points to lead the Rams to the Tri-County Conference Tournament Semifinal. Robinson electrified the gym with a dunk in the second quarter and went on to pour in 22 points in the second half. Overbrook (18-7) got revenge on a Deptford (20-6) team that had handed them a 10-point loss earlier this season. The defending TC-C champions will face Kingsway in the semifinal.

St. John Vianney 46 Manasquan 41 | Girls | Shore Conference Tournament Semifinal

Gianna Sono broke a 38-38 tie with a three-pointer and Taylor Sofilkanich put the Lancers up five in crunch time to allow SJV to move on to the Shore Conference championship game against defending champ Red Bank Catholic.  Shannon Looney led all scorers with 14 points with Jordyn Hallowell adding 12 for the defending Group 2 state champs.
