St. Peter’s Prep 54 Morris Catholic 36 | Boys
The Marauders raced out to a 20-2 first quarter lead and extended the advantage to 38-9 at the half in a dominating performance against the #11 ranked team in the latest state polls. St. Peter’s Prep (20-3) is the top seed in the Hudson County Tournament and begins post-season play this Monday.

Nottingham 48 Hamilton West 46 | Boys | CVC Tournament 1st Round
With five minutes remaining, it seemed almost certain that tenth-seeded Hamilton West (7-15) would avenge their 21-point loss to seventh-seeded Nottingham (15-7) from less than two weeks ago. The Hornets held a 22-point lead, but the Northstars refused to quit. After making just one three-pointer through the first three quarters, Nottingham drained six from beyond the arc in the final five minutes. Sophomore Quashawn Roberts hit the go-ahead shot with less than 30 seconds remaining, sealing an unbelievable comeback victory and earning the Northstars a date in the CVC Quarterfinal with second-seeded Trenton.

Ranney (12-8) also got 17 points from Ben Schaeffer and 15 points from Alex Heyser. Shore Regional (16-5) was led by the Barham twins who combined for 36 points. Ranney will take on #6 seed Jackson Township on the road this Thursday in the Round of 16.

After losing to the Spartans for the first time in 15 years early last month, the Raiders came out firing with a 13-0 run to start the game. They would not give up the lead for the remainder of the afternoon, with sophomore AJ Greig leading the way with 15 points. Senior Michael Moody followed close behind with 14 points, including four 3-pointers in the first half.
Joey Leo was Paramus’ leading scorer with 13. The Raiders now move to 13-9 on the season as the Spartans fall to 10-11.
