Sasha Abolenskiy gives us a dazzling breakaway goal on the ice that earned a spot in ESPN SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays from Friday night. Take a look at the amazing highlight and a chronicle of every JSZ highlight that has made the SportsCenter Top 10 through the years
Bridgewater-Raritan scored a 6-3 win at home against Hillsborough with Panthers junior Sasha Abolenskiy notching a hat trick to reach 25 goals on the season. It was Sasha’s second goal that created a lot of buzz in the hockey world. With B-R goalie Justin Madison starting the play with a pass from behind the net, Abolenskiy went in on a breakaway and jammed on the breaks to deliver a spectacular effort. The goal earned the #5 spot in ESPN SportsCenter’s Top 10 plays on February 6. This is the ninth time a JSZ highlight has been featured on SportsCenter’s Top 10 and the fourth time a New Jersey hockey highlight made the cut.
