The Rams might have been missing a couple hammers from their lineup but it ultimately didn’t matter in the end. A dual featuring two defending Group team champions came down to Johan Figueroa – a JV wrestler making his first-career start – who scored a thrilling pin at 215 pounds in a late rally for Southern (1-0) to get the win. The Rams pinned in four of the final five bouts of the nights in the midst of that run. North Hunterdon (0-1) won five of the first seven bouts to jump out to a big lead.
