It was ticket punching time in public girls soccer with state semifinal action all across the Garden State. Who booked a trip to Franklin on Sunday? Check back as the highlights are posted throughout the night!
Shawnee 3 Northern Burlington 0 | Girls | Group 3 State Semifinal
The Renegades earned an opportunity to defend their Group 3 state championship by knocking off a red-hot Greyhound team in the state semifinal. St. Joe’s commit Caitlin Olkowski and Presbyterian College commit Avery Kornafel helped the defending Group 3 champs build a two-goal lead in the first half, before William & Mary commit Maddie Zaun iced things in the second half. TCNJ commit Madeline Dubler earned a clean sheet in net for Shawnee (21-2). Emily Sarno had five saves for Northern Burlington (16-5-2), which was fresh off winning the program’s first sectional title. Shawnee makes its third-straight state final, and will face Chatham on Sunday.
JSZ’s James Mooney has the highlights and reaction from Medford:

Jersey Sports Zone’s coverage of Shawnee is made possible by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.
Chatham 3 Morris Knolls 1 | Girls | Group 3 State Semifinal
Rutgers commit Amanda Thornton had a pair of goals and assisted on the other to lead Chatham to a spot in the Group 3 state championship game for the second time in three years. Thornton converted in the sixth minute to give Chatham an early lead. After Grace Powers made a diving defensive play to take away the game tying goal a couple of moments after the first goal, Thornton fed freshman Junna Sho to make it a 2-0 first half lead. Thornton would seal the win with a breakaway goal late in the second half. Morris Knolls (17-5) got a goal in the final two minutes from Margareta Krasnomowitz. Chatham will take on Shawnee in a rematch of the 2023 state final that was won by the Cougars on PK’s.
JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights and post-match reaction from Chatham:

Jersey Sports Zone’s coverage of Chatham is made possible by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.
Ramsey 1 Madison 0 | Girls | Group 2 State Semifinal
The Rams had to wait a full calendar year, but eventually got their revenge on the Dodgers. Ramsey (24-0) lost 2-1 in overtime to Madison (16-1-1) in the 2024 Group 2 state semifinals but the Rams repaid the favor this fall. Lizzie Rubin’s lone goal in the 75th minute was all her squad needed to punch their ticket to the state final, where they’ll play Allentown on Sunday morning at Franklin High School.
JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights + reaction from Bergen County:
Allentown 3 West Deptford 0 | Girls | Group 2 State Semifinal
