The clock flips to November and the playoffs are in full swing! Plainfield takes on Piscataway in North 2, Group 5 action, while national powerhouse IMG takes the flight up to Philly to take on the Hun Raiders on the campus of UPenn. Keep it here for the highlights!

Piscataway 29 Plainfield 14 | North 2 Group 5 Quarterfinal

Piscataway leaned on its defense early, then found its rhythm to pull away in the second half and secure a spot in the sectional semifinals. The Chiefs held Plainfield scoreless through three quarters before touchdowns from Landon Pernell, Josiah Zayas, and Mickye Simmons broke it open. Pernell tossed a pair of scores while Simmons added two rushing touchdowns to seal a 29-14 win for second-seeded Piscataway (8-2). The Chiefs will face Bayonne next week in the North 2 Group 5 semifinals.

The Raiders fought out of an early 14-0 hole, but the nationally-ranked Ascenders were able to pull away in the second half to stay perfect on the season. Warren Hernandez opened the third quarter with a bang with an 85-yard kickoff return touchdown to cut the lead to one, while Nick Diamond had a rushing touchdown for The Hun School (7-4). Jayden Wade had three touchdowns passes, two of which going to Osani Gayles for IMG Academy (9-0).
