The 82nd meeting between Bergen Catholic and Don Bosco Prep highlights a tremendous night of action on the gridiron across the Garden State. We’ve got seven great games coming your way from a busy Friday night!
Don Bosco Prep 14 Bergen Catholic 9 | Super Football Conference
The Ironmen successfully made their claim as the new, undisputed No. 1 team in New Jersey after taking out their archival on Friday night. Led by a relentless defense, gritty ground game and a bruising offensive line, Don Bosco Prep (4-0) defeated nationally-ranked Bergen Catholic (4-1) in decisive fashion at home. Ca’Si Thomas and Dante DeLuca each had first half rushing touchdowns before Jack Hinspeter’s fourth quarter red-zone interception killed the Crusaders’ last offensive drive. Bergen Catholic’s 28-game in-state win streak is no more and Don Bosco Prep is out to their best start since 2014.

On the first play from scrimmage, McNair connected with sophomore Julian Lattimore to open the scoring. Later, Kyheem Freeman recovered a fumble and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown. With the win, Burlington Township (5-0) remains undefeated and now looks ahead to next week’s “Battle of Burlington,” as they travel to face fellow unbeaten Burlington City (5-0).
