We’re able to get in a few more soccer games before the weekend hits! Manalapan nearly goes the distance to win late in thrilling fashion while Clifton pushes past Passaic Tech. Stay tuned as the highlights come in!

Manalapan 3 Manasquan 2 (2OT) | Shore Conference

Ethan Lustig’s second goal of the game came in the 99th minute to give the Braves (4-1-2) a dramatic double overtime win on the road in Shore Conference Group 6 Pool Play.  Cruz Farkas scored in the third minute to give Manasaquan (6-2) an early 1-0 lead but the combination of Lustig and Edoardo Russo put the Braves in front.  Russo scored in the 22nd minute off a feed from Lustig to tie the game and then it was Russo with a beautiful through ball to Lustig to put Manalapan in front 2-1 in the second half.  Travis Levy tied the game in the 76th minute to set up extra time for the Warriors.

Clifton 3 Passaic 1 | Big North Conference

The Mustangs brushed off a slow start in the first half to come through with an impressive second-half showing in a divisional win. Clifton (4-2) got a spark from Emre Pesocan, who pushed through an injury to deliver a great assist. Passaic Tech (4-4) travels across town Saturday to tussle with DePaul Catholic.
