The Kirst’s are the first family of New Jersey lacrosse, and now, CJ Kirst will forever have a place in college lacrosse history.

Kirst was honored with the 2025 Tewaarton Award earlier this week in Washington, D.C – that’s the award for the most outstanding college lacrosse player in America.

The Bernardsville native broke the NCAA’s Division 1 goals record, led Cornell men’s lacrosse to a national championship and then was drafted No. 1 overall in the 2025 PLL Draft this season, capping off an incredible career.
