It’s championship Saturday in NJ lacrosse. We’ve got the Somerset Boys and Girls title games as well as a great Shore Conference semifinal between Rumson-Fair Haven and Shore Regional
Gill St. Bernard’s 10 Pingry 4 | Boys | Somerset County Final
Earlier this season, Pingry and Gill St. Bernard’s battled through a grueling 6–5 double-overtime thriller, with Big Blue coming out on top. But this time, with Pingry chasing a four-peat, it was the Knights who flipped the script — capturing their first-ever Somerset County Tournament Championship. Hofstra commit Robert Herrington led the charge for GSB with four goals, while Dartmouth-bound Max Voigt added a hat trick of his own. With the 10–4 victory, Gill St. Bernard’s (12–5), already back-to-back Group B champions, added their first SCT crown to the trophy case — ending Pingry’s (14–3) title streak in decisive fashion.

Pingry 9 Bridgewater-Raritan 8 | Girls | Somerset County Final
For the fourth consecutive year, Big Blue and the Panthers clashed in the Somerset County Tournament final, and once again, Pingry (17–2) came out on top. The top-seeded Big Blue completed the three-peat, holding off a late comeback attempt from second-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan (14–4) to secure a 9–8 victory. Loyola commit Ava Kirkwood led the charge for Pingry with a game-high four goals, while Giada Catanzaro netted a hat trick to pace the Panthers. B-R managed to tie things up at 4 in the second quarter, but Pingry responded with two quick goals to take a halftime lead — one they would never give up.

Rumson-Fair Haven 16 Shore Regional 7 | Boys | Shore Conference Semifinal
Luke Lydon scored a spectacular behind the back goal to tie the game and less than two minutes later gave the Bulldogs the lead for good as RFH scored 10 unanswered goals to earn a spot in the Shore Conference finals. Shore Regional took a 7-6 lead in the third on Tucker Malfa’s third goal of the game before Lydon and RFH took control of the game. Lydon had a five goal game with Grayson Goldin adding four for the 12-8 Bulldogs. Rumson-Fair Haven will take on Shore Regional in the championship game on Monday at Monmouth University.
