JSZ brings you two great matches from the volleyball courts on a rainy Friday around the Garden State. St. Augustine and Hammonton lock horns in the Cape-Atlantic League Tournament. St. Augustine 2 Hammonton 1 | Cape-Atlantic League Tournament Quarterfinal

The second-seeded Hermits used a tremendous afternoon from its front row to fend off the seventh-seeded Blue Devils in three sets (25-18, 24-26, 25-17). Adrian Limowski and Spencer Lawson were huge factors up front and really turned things up a notch in the decisive third set for St. Augustine (15-5). Isaac Fishman had a great all-around performance, while Ryan Wetzel played big up front for Hammonton (6-14). St. Augustine will host third-seeded Egg Harbor Township in the CAL semifinals on Monday.

West Windsor-Plainsboro North 2 West Windsor-Plainsboro South 1

In the Battle of West Windsor-Plainsboro, it was West Windsor-Plainsboro North (17-6) who emerged victorious over their crosstown and BCSL Liberty rivals, West Windsor-Plainsboro South (17-7). The Northern Knights secured the win in a tightly contested three-set match (25-20, 25-17, 25-23), completing a season sweep of the Southern Pirates. A late surge from South was halted by clutch kills from Jai Garg and Sarthak Chauhan, sealing the win for North.
