Spring Break baseball continues. We’ve got an opening round Monmouth County Tournament matchup between Marlboro and Colts Neck plus a huge battle in Union County between Governor Livingston and Westfield. Check out all the action!

Governor Livingston 8 Westfield 7

Michael Basile delivered time and time again Monday afternoon in a battle of two talented and unbeaten UCC squads. Basile’s solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning gave Gov. Livingston (9-0) some extra cushion, and then he earned a caught stealing after throwing out the potential tying run in the top of the seventh. In all, Basile went 3-4 with 2 RBI and a pair of runs scored in the win. Braedan Trajkovski led the way for Westfield (7-1) in a hard fought loss – he swatted a two-run home run along the way.
