It may be spring break for some schools around the state but that doesn’t mean the competition stops. The Oak Knoll girls seek revenge against Morristown while Washington Twp. proves a point against Clearview along with an overtime thriller in Rumson!


Rumson-Fair Haven 10 Scotch Plains-Fanwood 9 (OT) | Boys

Luke Lydon took a feed from Britt Lumsden 1:22 into overtime to give the Bulldogs a dramatic come from behind victory.  RFH (5-4) trailed 8-6 after three quarters and 9-7 with under six minutes to go before Frank Argliagos delivered a huge goal running almost the entire length of the field and Blake Ahmann scored with under two minutes to go scooping up a failed clearing attempt to force overtime.  Ryan Scarpa and Lorenzo Tittonegro had two goals each for SPF (6-3).

Oak Knoll 10 Morristown 6 | Girls

After losing to the Colonials in each of the last two seasons, the Royals got revenge with a big win Thursday. Senior Zoe Harmaty buried five goals to pace Oak Knoll (6-2) in the win. Freshman Taylor Martin (two goals) had the first multi-goal game of her career while GG Guenther also had a pair of goals in the win. Kiera Van Zile had a hat trick for Morristown (2-5) in the loss.

Washington Twp. 12 Clearview 2 | Boys

The Minutemen bounced back in a big way from their first loss of the season with a dominant effort in a divisional clash with the Pioneers. Myles Malone paced the Minutemen attack with a game-high four goals and an assits, while Jake Borkowski added a pair of goals and an assist in the victory. Parker Reese finished with a goal and an assist to go with a tremendous day on faceoffs for Washington Township (6-1). RJ Sciarotta and Jake Crouthamel scored goals in the loss for Clearview (2-3).
