Don Bosco Prep 3 DePaul Catholic 2
The Ironmen emerged as winners in Tuesday clash of elite North Jersey programs. Dylan Espinal broke a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning when he laced a would-be single to left field that popped off the turf and raced past the left fielder. That ultimately became a go-ahead solo inside-the-park HR to put the Ironmen in front for good. Junzen Sarza picked up the win after tossing three scoreless innings of relief for Don Bosco Prep (5-0). JC Pacheco had a two-run inside-the-park home run for DePaul Catholic (6-1) in the loss.
