A new week begins in high school baseball with many teams beginning their 2025 campaigns. Top-ranked Gloucester Catholic opens with a Tri-County Conference clash against Washington Township. Plus, Hopewell Valley and Trenton go to battle in CVC action. Check back as the highlights are posted throughout the night!

The top-ranked Rams jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two then leaned on Jack Mustaro and Immaculata commit Sal Marziani on the mound to pick up a season-opening win against the Minutemen. Virginia commit Noah Danza went 2-4 with a triple and 2 RBIs, while Auburn commit Guy Lynam went 1-2 with a pair of RBIs in the win. Jason Bogart added 2 RBIs of his own for Gloucester Catholic (1-0). Matt Stoelker and Aiden Gibson combined for four shutout innings of relief for Washington Township (1-1).

Hopewell Valley 12 Trenton 4
Hopewell Valley (1-1-1) scored 8 of their 12 runs in the first three innings, earning the Bulldogs their 1st win on the season and the 1st for new Head Coach Chris Skolka. Jaykob Shin had an elite two-way spectacle for HV- pitching four no-hit innings, going 2/2 at the plate, and scoring a game-high 3 runs. Chase Garrow finished with a game-high 3 RBI’s, while Dean Mantuano also added 2 RBI’s for the Bulldogs. Trenton (2-1) started 2-0 for the first time in 15+ years and drop their first game this season to their CVC rivals.
