Absegami 49 Delsea 39 | Boys | South Group 3 Quarterfinal

The fourth-seeded Braves trailed by four at the break, but took control in the second half to knock off the fifth-seeded Crusaders. Jamaal Davis scored 14 points to lead a balanced attack for Gami (24-4). Luke Van Auken scored eight points to pace Delsea (18-10) in the loss. Absegami will face top-seeded Ocean City in the sectional semifinals next week.

Freehold Boro 60 Red Bank Regional 50 | Boys | Central Group 3 Quarterfinal

Aidan Hamlin-Woolfolk had 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead Freehold Boro past the top seed in Central Jersey Group 3 for a second straight year on their home floor.  Freehold Boro raced out to a 17-4 first quarter lead thanks to five three-pointers and led by 11 at the half.   Red Bank Regional stormed back behind Zayier Dean’s 26 points to get within two after three but the Colonials found an extra gear in the final eight minutes.  Freehold Boro (20-7) will face Colts Neck on the road in the section semifinals.

Burlington Township 67 Lawrence 49 | Boys | Central Group 3 Quarterfinal

The second-seeded Falcons seized control with a late 10-0 run in the third quarter to get past the seventh-seeded Cardinals and reach the sectional semifinals. Quayd Hendryx led the way with a game-high 22 points, while Andrew Larbie added 17 points in the win for Burlington Township (26-3). Noah Johansen finished with a team-high 18 points with Marvin McNeil chipping in with 16 points in the loss for Lawrence (21-8). Burlington Township will host Ewing in the Central Jersey Group 3 semifinals on Tuesday.

Westampton Tech 51 Jackson Memorial 30 | Girls | Central Group 3 Quarterfinal

A two-point game at the half, first-seeded Westampton Tech(23-5) held eighth-seeded Jackson Memorial(14-12) to just 9 points in the 2nd half. It was nothing short of domination for Akeelah Lafluer who finished with a 30 point, 15 rebound, and 11 block triple double. 14 of Lafluer’s 30 points came in the 4th quarter. Lafluer has eclipsed 500 total points for the season. The Panthers move on to the semifinals for a matchup with 5th seeded Neptune.
