Red Bank Catholic 50 Saint Rose 48 | Girls | Shore Conference Tournament Final

Tessa Carman gathered a feed from Addy Nyemchek with :08 left to score the game winning basket on her future college home floor to give the Caseys their first Shore Conference title since 2013.  RBC trailed 46-41 with under four minutes to go before getting a Nyemchek steal and layin followed by a Tessa Liggio three-pointer.  Jada Lynch, who led all scorers with 17 points and 8 rebounds, gave Saint Rose a 48-46 lead late in the fourth just seconds after Liggio tied the game.  After Nyemchek (13 points) made two free throws to tie the game, Christina Liggio caused a turnover setting the stage for Carman’s heroics.

Saint Rose 45 CBA 36 | Boys | Shore Conference Tournament Final

Jayden Hodge had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Evan Romano stepped up big in the fourth quarter to score 13 on the way to the Purple Roses second straight Shore Conference Tournament title.  Charlie Marcoullier led the Colts with 12, who were tied 18-18 at the half and got within one in the fourth quarter before the Purple Roses pulled away.

Colonia 70 Piscataway 63 | Boys | Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament Final

The Patriots fended off a late charge from the Chiefs to secure back-t0-back GMC Tournament titles, and career win number 200 for head coach Jose Rodriguez. RJ Wortman put in some serious work as he went for a game-high 23 points and 13 rebounds in the win. Aiden Derkack scored nine in the first and finished with 21 points for top-seeded Colonia (23-4). Jayden Harrison and Donald Nwaigwe each scored a team-high 16 points in the loss for second-seeded Piscataway (22-5).

Morris Catholic 54 Chatham 40 | Girls | Morris County Tournament Final

The heavily-favored Crusaders finished a job they set out to accomplish four years ago by winning their fourth-consecutive county championship. Three-time MCT MVP Mia Pauldo paced Morris Catholic (22-0) with a team-high 15 points in the win. Twin sister Mya Pauldo had 13 points and Daniella Matus scored 12 to round out key scorers. Chatham (25-2) got a great effort from Ella Kreuzer (18 points) in the loss.
