Ewing 60 Lawrence 52 | CVC Tournament Final | Boys

#5 seeded Ewing(18-6) outscored #2 seeded Lawrence(19-6) 19-13 in the 2nd quarter and didn’t look back. Joel Cineus dominated in the paint with 15 points, earning the tournaments MVP. Terrance Traylor also added 15 points, including a big dunk. Marvin McNeil and Michael Carrick had 13 points each for the Cardinals. Ewing wins the 1st ever CVC Boys Basketball Championship!

Notre Dame 47 Ewing 35 | CVC Tournament Final | Girls

Ewing(13-11) were looking for a 4-peat, but Notre Dame(15-8) ended those hopes. Alayna Ramirez and Meghan Connolly were Freshman when the Blue Devils beat Notre Dame and won the 1st of 3 consecutive Championships. 3 seasons later, Connelly drops a game high 15 points, while Ramirez scores 9 and wins tournament MVP. The Irish win the 1st ever CVC Girls Basketball Championship!

St. Rose 73 Central Regional 51 | Shore Conference Tournament Quarterfinal | Boys

The Jayden Hodge vs. Jaycen Santucci matchup was much anticipated and it was Hodge who took control Saturday in Middletown. The star junior led all players with 25 points in a lopsided win in favor of fourth-seeded St. Rose (17-7). Hodge and the Purple Roses pulled away in the second half to secure the commanding win. Santucci had a team-high 21 points in the loss for Central Regional (21-3), but was held to just three points in the second half. St. Rose will face the winner of Manasquan/Colts Neck in the SCT semifinals on Wednesday.

Rumson-Fair Haven 51 Red Bank Regional 44 | Shore Conference Tournament Quarterfinal | Boys

Carson Memmott had 15 points and 11 rebounds

Holy Spirit 58 Absegami 48 | Girls | Cape-Atlantic League Tournament Quarterfinal

The fifth-seeded Spartans pulled away in the fourth quarter to win their rubber match with the fourth-seeded Braves and reach the CAL Tournament semifinals. Sabrina Little, who set Spirit’s all-time scoring record on Monday, finished with a team-high 19 points. Lauren Cella scored 11 of her 18 points in the second half for Holy Spirit (17-8). Fairleigh Dickinson commit Reese Downey went off for a game-high 34 points and became the first player in Absegami history to reach 2,000 career points. Holy Spirit will face top-seeded Wildwood Catholic on Tuesday at Atlantic City High School.
