The two-time defending state champion Rams continued their incredible run of success in SJ Group 5, winning the first nine bouts of the night to secure a seventh-straight sectional title and the 18th in program history. Attila Vigilante (144), Nick Doddona (190), and Bucknell commit Anthony Mason (113) delivered pins in the victory for Southern (18-3), which forfeited the final two bouts of the night. Mitchell Lando secured a second period pin at heavyweight for Washington Township (17-5). Southern will host North 1 champion Passaic Tech in the Group 5 state semifinals on Friday.
