JSZ brings you two great hockey games to start the week! We’ve got a top 5 state ranked showdown in Wall with Don Bosco at CBA plus the Egan Cup Final!
Don Bosco Prep 2 CBA 1 | Gordon Conference
Sophomore Brayden Scali broke a 1-1 tie with a blistering shot that found a small window in the upper right corner to give the Ironmen (12-3) a huge road win in Gordon Conference play. Don Bosco took a 1-0 lead in the first on a goal by Niko Pappachristou before CBA (17-3) tied the game in the second on Logan Kenney’s 22nd goal of the season. John Gazzola had 28 saves in the win.

Pope John 3 St. Peter’s Prep 0 | Egan Cup Final
The Lions put together a truly dominant effort to roll to their second-straight Egan Cup championship. Pope John (14-3-1) controlled the pace of the game, outshooting the Marauders 40-5 in the win. Defenseman Magnuss Bars delivered an insane end-to-end goal in the second period and also anchored the stingy defensive unit. Nicholas Colatrella and Nicholas Moschello also scored for the Lions. St. Peter’s Prep (6-7-2) has two more regular season games on deck.
