Rutgers Prep 3 DePaul Catholic 0 | Non-Public B Final

The Argonauts jumped on the Spartans from the get-go and led nearly wire-to-wire to capture their third consecutive state championship. This matchup featured two Top-10 nationally ranked programs duking it out for the overall top ranking in NJ. Ellie Robertson and Alexa Lee each scored in the first six minutes to give Rutgers Prep (23-0) a lead they’d carry past the final whistle. Virginia commit Addison Halpern closed out a legendary high school career with a pair of assists in the win. DePaul Catholic (19-1) found some momentum in the second half but it was too late to mount a comeback.

Paul VI 1 IHA 0 (OT) | Non-Public A Final

Emma McCarthy’s golden goal with 1:11 left in the first overtime period gave Paul VI the school’s first ever girls soccer state championship.  PVI applied pressure in the IHA defensive zone for most of the 80 minutes of regulation but thanks to keeper Grace Dalessandro (12 saves), the scoreless match went to overtime.  In overtime, Paul VI keeper Chloe Krupa made a diving save to keep the Eagles hopes alive.  Moments later, Daniela Vogel from the left wing fed the ball to McCarthy who blasted a left foot from 10 yards out.  Paul VI finishes the season 20-2-1.
