Steinert 2 Lawrence 1 | Boys | Colonial Valley Conference Tournament Quarterfinal
Christopher Vega’s perfectly executed bicycle kick proved to be the game-winning goal as the Spartans took down the Cardinals in a tight matchup. Vega’s shot came in the 75th minute and put third-seeded Steinert (13-2-3) up for good. Matt Tafrow scored in the first half for Steiner’s other goal. Hector Tenorio-Perez drilled a long-distance shot in the 72nd minute for sixth-seeded Lawrence (9-8-2) in the loss. Steinert will advance to face No. 2 seed Princeton in the semifinals.

Point Pleasant Boro 4 Toms River North 0 | Girls | Shore Conference Tournament Quaterfinal
Freshman Maddie Renna had three goals and an assist to spark the Panthers to the SCT semis. Renna fed Elise Viggiano for the game’s first goal in the 34th minute. Renna would then score a pair of goals in the final 1:41 to give the Panthers a 3-0 halftime lead before closing out the scoring in the 56th minute. Point Pleasant Boro is now 12-1-2 and will take on Howell in the semifinals on Wednesday at Neptune High School.

Ocean City 4 Hammonton 0 | Girls | Cape-Atlantic League Tournament Semifinal
The Red Raiders erupted for three goals in the second half to punch their ticket to a sixth-straight CAL Tournament final. Brown commit Naomi Nnewihe netted her team-leading 24th goal of the season in the victory. Jaida Dooley, Emma Vince, and Savannah Rhubart added goals for second-seeded Ocean City (15-3). OC will go for its fifth-straight CAL Tournament championship on Wednesday against top-seeded Egg Harbor Township.
