It was another wild Wednesday on the pitch around the Garden State. Hunterdon Central made a statement against Seton Hall Prep, South Jersey power St. Augustine stayed perfect and Howell grabbed a bounce back win in the Shore Conference. Hunterdon Central 3 Seton Hall Prep 1 | Boys

Alex Hain’s go-ahead goal in the 73rd minute proved to be the difference for the Red Devils’ in their statement takedown of the reigning Non-Public A state champions. Hunterdon Central (9-1) continues to bolster its Top-10 statewide ranking with big wins and this one Wednesday was seismic. Michael Catanzarite and Grant Frey also scored goals while Chase Reinhard made six saves. Benjamin Mills’ beautiful free kick goal in the 39th minute was the lone tally for Seton Hall Prep (8-4) on the day.

Howell 4 Holmdel 2 | Boys

Nick Turturro and Kam Brown each scored two goals as the Rebels raced out to a 3-0 first half lead and held on to end a two game losing streak.  The Rebels improve to 8-3 and next face Central Regional in their final game in the Shore Conference’s Group Play with a spot in the knockout round on the line.

St. Augustine 3 Moorestown Friends 1 | Boys

The seventh-ranked Hermits added another quality win to their resume as they knocked off a defending sectional champion to stay perfect on the season. Fischer Brogan delivered one of the goals of the year as the senior netted an Olimpico off a corner kick in the 21st minute. Alex Clark and DJ Mosley added goals in the victory for St. Augustine (12-0). Preston Galanis scored his 11th goal of the season in the loss for Moorestown Friends (7-4).
