Notre Dame 1 Garfield 0 (OT) | Boys
The Fighting Irish secured one of the biggest upsets so far this season in a takedown of the reigning Group 3 state champions. Tyler Javick drilled a golden goal in the first overtime period to lift Notre Dame (10-3) to an unforgettable win. Keeper Tony Merluse made 10 saves in the win. Garfield (7-3) had a number of good scoring chances in this match but just couldn’t find a time to break through.

Brick Memorial 2 Point Pleasant Beach 1 | Boys
Alexander Santos scored just 13 seconds into the match and Mason Muolo’s penalty kick early in the second half proved to be the game-winner as the Mustangs share the Shore Conference “C” South title for the first time since 2002. Point Beach came into the match with a perfect 8-0 mark. The Garnet Gulls got a goal from Brody Powers to get within one goal but Mustangs keeper Ryan Wheeler made some big stops to preserve a Brick Memorial win.

Rancocas Valley 3 Allentown 2 | Girls
Abigail Ondo delivered a goal and an assist to power the Red Devils to a big non-conference win against the Red Birds. Grace Sawaged and Joanna Marlin added goals in the victory for Rancocas Valley (3-6-1). Isabelle Knott and Amanda Hoglund scored goals in the loss for Allentown (6-3-1).
