We start off the new week with two girls’ and two guys’ games! State-ranked Sparta travels to face Pingry and Rumson-Fair Haven tussles with Manalpan under the lights in two of our highlighted games this evening. Stay tuned throughout the night as the highlights roll in!

Manalapan 4 Rumson-Fair Haven 3 | SCT Group H | Boys

Ethan Rosenfeld broke a 1-1 tie early in the second half and Ethan Lustig delivered a beautiful upper 90 goal off a free kick just 2:32 later as the Braves hung on to improve to 7-1 and 2-0 in Group H play.  Manalapan can clinch a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament knockout round with a win this Saturday against Lakewood.  Luke D’Angelo had a pair of goals on penalty kicks to get RFH close but the Braves hung on in the end.

Manasquan 6 Jackson Liberty 0 | SCT Group I | Boys

The Warriors took their time early on but turned up the heat as regulation rolled on to secure a group stage match win. Manasquan (5-1) has proved to be one of the areas best teams so far through the early part of the season and reinforced that with a lopsided win with conference tournament implications.

Pingry 3 Sparta 2 | Girls

Maya Nuwayhid had two goals including the game winner on a penalty kick that broke a 2-2 tie to give Big Blue an upset win over the #11 ranked Spartans.  Abigail Connors and Adriana Dolinski scored for Sparta with Dolinski giving the Spartans a 2-1 lead in the second half.  Nuwayhid scored the final two goals of the match.  Sparta keeper Riley Molbury made a number of spectacular saves in a losing effort.

Morehead State commit Lily netted her fifth goal of the season, while Katarena Kokolis added her first goal of the season for Eastern (5-2-1).
