Two of NJ’s elite arms took the mound to highlights another great day of action on the diamond. Check back as the highlights are posted throughout the night!

Pennington 11 Blair 0 (5 Innings)

Virginia signee Bryce Meccage was brilliant on the mound as he turned in another dominant effort in front of more than a dozen MLB scouts. The senior tossed a five inning no-hitter, allowing just one walk while racking up 12 strikeouts in the victory. Ray Heaton drove in a pair of runs as Pennington (6-6) blew things open with a seven run third inning.

JSZ’s James Mooney has the highlights and reaction from Pennington:

Christian Brothers Academy 12 Howell 4

Chris Levonas struck out 13 in five innings allowing one earned run on two hits and two walks and the Colts put up a five-spot in the first on the way to a fourth straight win.  Levonas once again impressed in front of MLB scouts topping out at 95 miles per hour on the radar gun.  He struck out the first six batters and had a no-hitter through four before the Rebels did some damage in the fifth.  Sophomore Dylan Iwanyk hit his first varsity home run in the top of the 6th inning to make it a 12-2 game.

JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from Howell:
