Rutgers Prep 6 Princeton Day 2 | Diamond Nation Game of the Week | Prep B Championship
Sophomore right-hander Ryan Montalvo was the steady presence for Rutgers Prep all night. He took his 1.11 ERA into this game and delivered the complete game with while striking out seven and allowing only a pair of runs as the Argonauts won their fifth-ever Prep B title. Point Pleasant Boro 10 Jackson Liberty 7 | Ocean County Tournament Final
Sam Young broke a 5-5 tie in the 5th inning with a 2-run double to spark a five-run frame as the Panthers win the first Ocean County championship in school history. Point Boro raced out to a four-run first inning and added one more in the second to take a 5-0 lead. Jackson Liberty rallied for five runs in the 3rd to tie the game. Nick Guzzi pitched six innings giving up four earned runs and Sam Collins came on to pitch a scoreless 7th and get out of a bases-loaded jam to preserve the win.
