Josh Dixon looks to have a big senior season for coach Dave Ellis and the Colonials

 Rich’s Take

Josh Dixon has all the tools to not only lead Freehold Boro to an improved season, but a college scholarship as well.  Opponents will gameplan to stop him and Freehold Boro needs to utilize other talent besides the senior tailback.  Jake Curry can throw the ball well and his top target, Jamel Smith-Rush, has all the physical tools to be one of the Shore Conference’s top receivers.   Ashanti Worthy is in a perfect situation.  This freshman running back has the potential to be a superstar and he has his older cousin, Josh Dixon, to show him the ropes for a year and get him ready to be the featured running back in 2015 and beyond.  As coach Dave Ellis said in the preview, talent is not the issue at Freehold Boro.  When this team grasps what Ellis and the coaching staff is preaching and puts in consistent hard work, the Colonials can be a playoff team.
