Shore Sports Zone’s Rich Chrampanis says goodbye to the high school football season with one more highlight video

TJ Brustowicz and I were sitting at an important meeting with a big time sponsor.  Every time we make a sale, we can show more highlights, tell more great stories and give back to the Jersey Shore in creative and philanthropic ways.  As the new kid on the block, this sponsor thought he had SSZ all figured out.  “You’re only going to be able to get to a couple of games – you won’t be able to cover the whole Shore.”

During our banquet, I told the players in attendance that it’s important to not listen to the constant negative energy in our world.  It’s so easy to say, “He’s too small, he didn’t play against good competition or they won’t win.”  What if Raritan listened to everyone who said a team on a five game losing streak is going to lose in the playoffs?  Over 17 years of hosting high school football banquets, I have seen so many athletes defy the odds and do great things not only in football, but life as well.  That’s why we dress everyone up and pull out the big screen at the end of every sports season.  We have some incredible kids in our communities that deserve to be recognized.

We didn’t listen to the sponsor who had us pegged as a non-factor.  We didn’t get to every game on the Shore Conference schedule, but we did get to 151.  When we hear about teams huddling around the television to watch our highlights show every Saturday and Sunday morning, we are fired up to do even better in 2016.

I have been fortunate enough to see some incredible high school athletics in six different states.  These kids at the Shore can play and are destined for great things.  That’s why we’re here – to create lifelong memories that can be shared for generations and to give athletes in this area the kind of exposure they deserve.

To the coaches, players and rabid student sections who passed along a kind word on the sidelines and shared our videos, I wanted to say thank you.  I realized that Shore Sports Zone isn’t so much about words, but video.  So the video below is my way of saying thanks for an incredible season and a reminder of what Shore Conference football is all about.

The Shore Sports Zone Team

The people who bring you high definition highlights each and every week have multiple jobs, yet they drop what they are doing and bring an energy and passion to show great action.  A special thanks to TJ Brustowicz, Chris Chrampanis, Dianne Chrampanis, Alex Lorenzo and Ryne Olsen.  Five cameras getting to as many as 13 games in a weekend!  My kids, Luke and Carly Chrampanis held down the fort and provided live scoreboard updates all season long.  It’s a blessing to work with people who put forth a tremendous amount of effort and enjoy the process every single step of the way.
