The Caseys battled back from a goal down on three different occasions to earn a co-championship.  Juliana Rafaniello’s shot off a corner kick tied the game with 13 minutes remaining.  After 80 minutes of regulation and 20 minutes of overtime, the NJSIAA does not decide state championships on penalty kicks resulting in both teams sharing the state title.  Sophie Demurjian and Marisa Rafaneillo had the other goals for RBC, who finished the year with a 15-10-1 record.  The Caseys made an amazing run as #6 seed to win the title.  Watch the highlights and interviews from an exciting game here:

Matt Thorsheim’s left foot blast with 7:58 remaining in regulation was the only goal of the game as CBA finishes an amazing year with a 24-1 record.  The Colts won the Shore Conference championship and then closed out 2016 with the program’s sixth state championship and first since 2010.  Watch Thorsheim’s great goal with an assist from Matt Mawson along with post-match reaction:
