McCarthy had a Division I FBS offer from Syrcause along with FCS offers from Monmouth, Cornell and Villanova.  He’s expected to play outside linebacker for Penn, but in his senior year at Middletown South he’ll get plenty of chances to touch the ball at running back as well as being a key part of the Eagles defense.  He had 16 touchdowns on offense and three interceptions on the defensive side of the ball to help the Eagles win a state championship.  Lotti had offers from Army, Bucknell, Colgate and Delaware.  He’ll play safety in college and is a two way threat for the Patriots seeing time at running back and receiver as well as playing defense for Freehold Township.
