Future Kentucky Wildcat Nick Richards and the Patrick School scored a 66-56 win over Ranney to advance to the Non-Public “B” South finals, but not before the young Panthers showed some fight against one of the nation’s best high school basketball teams.  SSZ has the highlights from Rahway High School

Patrick School 66 Ranney 56

Valdir Manuel had 17 points including two key buckets to help the Patrick School pull away from a Ranney team that gave one of the nation’s top ranked programs a run for their money.  The Panthers were able to get within 56-54 with under five minutes to go in the fourth quarter before the Celtics pulled away thanks to a Manuel hook shot followed by a slam.  Ahmadu Sarnor led all scorers with 28 points for Ranney and fellow sophomore Bryan Antoine added 21.  The Panthers finish the season with a 28-5 record.  Watch the highlights of Ranney’s battle at Rahway High School on Monday night:
