Pearson put up eye popping numbers in his junior campaign completing 56.5 percent of his passes for 1437 yards with 28 touchdown passes and only 4 interceptions.  Mater Dei Prep had a perfect 12-0 season capped off by a dramatic 26-20 win at Kean University over Holy Spirit in the state finals that saw Pearson start a hook and lateral TD pass to Eddie Lewis to win the state championship.  Watch Pearson’s junior highlights that showcased his precision passing, arm strength and ability to pick up first downs with his running ability:

Pearson started his high school football career at Matawan, winning a state title in his freshman season.  Following his sophomore campaign, he briefly transferred to Saint Joseph’s-Montvale, but eventually wound up at Mater Dei Prep playing under first year head coach and former NFL veteran Dino Mangiero.  Pearson will be one of the top returning quarterbacks in New Jersey heading into his senior season and looking for a third state championship in his illustrious high school career.
