Long Branch 66 Al-Ghazaly 41

Tyree Morris led the Green Wave with 16 points and Kaymar Mimes added a dozen as Long Branch raced out to a 50-17 halftime lead against Al-Ghazaly out of Jersey City and finished with a 66-41 victory.  Seven players scored six points or more for Long Branch, who are now on a four game win streak and are over the .500 mark at 5-4.  Long Branch High hosted its first edition of the Dr. Martin Luther King Scholarship tournament with Asbury Park, Matawan and Neptune competing among the eight team field.  Watch the highlights of Long Branch’s Monday afternoon win:
